Le Gruyére AOP European Curling Championships 2018
Date:Nov 16, 2018 - Nov 24, 2018
Location:Tallinn, Harjumaa, Estonia
Le Gruyére AOP European Curling Championships (ECC 2018) will take place in Estonia’s capital of Tallinn, located at the Baltic sea. The city is situated on the northern coast of the country, on the shore of the Gulf of Finland 80 km south of Helsinki, east of Stockholm, and west of Saint Petersburg. Considered one of the most beautiful and best preserved medieval cities of Europe, today’s Tallinn is home nearly to 450,000 people. Tallinn’s impossibly picturesque Old Town is understandably one of the city’s main attractions. Churches with pinnacles that pierce the skyline, bustling squares, coiling laneways and lavish merchant houses vie for attention within the medieval city walls. Highlights such as the Town Hall Square, Toompea Castle (now home to Estonia’s parliament), and the Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Cathedral shouldn't be missed, but step outside the confines of the well-trodden Old Town and there's plenty more of Tallinn to be explored. ECC 2018 will be held in Tondiraba ice hall using the two ice rinks (A division in main arena with 6000 seats, B division in one of the hockey rinks). We are delighted to host 48 teams from 27 countries in November 2018. ECC 2018 closing ceremony will take place in one of the unique museums in Tallinn – Seaplane Harbor.
